Desi Chana

The Indian subcontinent is home to a kind of chickpea called as Desi chana, often referred to as Desi chickpea or Kala chana. The term “Desi” relates to its place of origin because it is indigenous to the Indian subcontinent and has been grown there for many years. Desi chana is very nutrient-dense and a good source of dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and plant-based protein. It is especially high in magnesium, manganese, folate, and iron. It has no cholesterol and little to no fat.
